  • What are the guidelines for using CF Canada's Branding

    We've created an 'In Support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada' logo to help fundraisers achieve a branded, polished look for their letters, flyers, and event materials. Various versions are available here. Additionally, a joint CF/Kin logo is also available for use.

    However, this logo may not be used in connection with any products or services for any commercial purposes unless authorized by CF Canada under a signed license agreement.

  • When will CF Canada issue official tax receipts for donations made to Kin Canada?

    Cystic Fibrosis Canada will issue official income tax receipts to donors contributing to Kin Canada-Cystic Fibrosis Canada fundraising projects provided the following conditions are met:

    All the proceeds from the event are contributed to Cystic Fibrosis Canada;

    The contribution is eligible for an income tax receipt under the regulations established by the Canada Revenue Agency;

    The Cystic Fibrosis Canada office receives complete information with the donor’s name, mailing address, donation amount. To process receipts faster, please include a photocopy of the donor’s cheque if possible- especially for larger amounts ($200 +)

  • What are the Kin Direct Fundraising Guidelines?

    Kin Clubs occasionally receive direct funding requests for cystic fibrosis-related needs outside Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s usual mandate, such as CF equipment or personal support.

    Allocating CF funds locally can divert resources from CF Canada’s critical national efforts, including research, advocacy, information, and treatment initiatives. We encourage focusing support on CF Canada’s broader mission to ensure nationwide advancements in care, access to treatment, and research.

  • Can I or my club choose to only volunteer with CF Canada?

    We’re always looking for volunteers and would love to have Kin members join us at our events. We understand that service hours are part of your mandate and are happy to help you gain more. Volunteering is a win-win for everyone! For current opportunities, email kin@cysticfibrosis.ca or visit  HERE.

  • How can we request speakers for meeting or events?

  • What is CF Canada's Infection Control Policy, and do we need to follow it as a third-party event?

    In an open-air environment, there is less concern for person-to-person transmission of infections but travelling with other people with CF in a car, or meeting them socially increases the level of risk.

    People with CF may attend Cystic Fibrosis Canada hosted outdoor events but are advised to maintain a distance of at least six feet (about two meters) from other individuals with CF at all times.

    While CF Canada must strictly adhere to the policy for its hosted events, third-party event holders are strongly encouraged to follow proper precautions in accordance with the infection control policy.
